Project 365: February 2014

February sure was a snowy month. 

The preschoolers started to lose interest in using the sleds when our snow mountain just kept growing bigger and bigger. 

Then we started to lose interest in winter all together.

By the end of the month (with a little help from a bucket loader that helped reclaim our parking lot) we had a giant cliff to climb and explore. 

The cold air also hardened the snow and we were able to walk on top of the snow back into the woods. 

I'm sure all this snow will be bringing us great mud and puddles in another month!

Project 365: Catching up.

It has been very busy at preschool with the arrival of our new practicum and intern students from the local university. I have kept up with taking daily pictures of our outdoor play, but got behind on sharing them on the blog. There were several days throughout these photos that we were unable to make it outside due to very low temperatures and wind chills. I always keep a few extra pictures set aside to use on those days and for the weekends.  Enjoy!

Project 365: A Work in Progress

If you follow Growing Inch By Inch on Facebook, you may have noticed a new photo album titled Project 365. This is a challenge that I have decided to participate in, after following a couple other pages as they did it last year. A photo a day, every day for a year.

Here is a lovely post from Lesley at Takoma Park Cooperative Preschool as she starts her third year of collecting photos.   I couldn't have explained it any better, so I won't even try. :)

I will be posting our pictures on Facebook daily, but will also include them here weekly, with the seven photos from that week.  

I have decided a couple days late, that I am going to focus my Project 365 on Playing Outside.  Of course, I decided this after posting my first three photos and then reading the lovely post above from Lesley.
