Today we started off our Working Together and Helping Each Other theme. We will spend the next month working on building a sense of community and friendship.
Our ideas about what TEAM means are this: Clean up, helping each other, not hurting, working together, underwater and work together.
Our ideas about what FRIEND means are: help clean up, don't hurt, being nice, listen to each others words, do not argue, play, dance, swim, giving things.

Recipe: Soft Pretzels
1 package yeast dissolved in 1.5 cups of water1 tsp salt
1 tbs sugar
4 cups flour
1 egg (for brushing on)
Combine all ingredients except egg. Mix and knead the dough. Form into individual balls. Brush on egg. Bake at 425 degrees until brown. I usually roll them in butter after and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar after they bake. The kids love to help. So far we have only done ball shape, but of course you could do letters or other shapes.
